Rev. David Morton

Reverend Morton describes himself simply: he was formed by the church, shaped by family, nurtured by loving and caring friends, and guided over time into a calling that blends pastoral care with service and witness.

His professional experience includes years of pastoral care in institutions, hospitals, and congregations. He understands ministry as the practice of creating space for God to do God’s redeeming work.

His education includes a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Mars Hill College and an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He is married and has two grown children and two granddaughters.
