Music & Worship

To praise our Creator is the natural response to the God who has revealed Himself through our Savior, Jesus Christ. At First Baptist, Hillsborough, our praise may be expressed in a variety of ways.

Congregational Singing

By singing together with others in worship, we in unity proclaim God's Word in song. Through singing, we lift up our voices in gratitude to God who creates and sustains us. In congregational song, our voices are combined in a supernatural way, not unlike the angels who stand before God's throne eternally praising Him.

Chancel Choir

Our ministry in music also utilizes our voices through the Chancel Choir. This group, which offers an opportunity to praise the Lord in a more concentrated manner, meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.

Handbells

Handbells also ring praise to the Lord - a means to praise, though without words, yet the purpose is the same. The handbells practice weekly on Sunday afternoons at 12:15.
